Chunky, sand cast recycled silver ring Casting into sand is an ancient technique. The model, in this case a wax form I had made, is pressed into the sand then removed and the silver is cast into the negative space. A really effective way to recycle old jewellery into something new. This ring has had all the sand texture filed off except for on the ridge at the top. This gives a wonderful contrast to the polished surface of the rest of the ring. The ring is solid and sits comfortably on the finger. This ring can be sized up a bit or I can make one in your size, just bear in mind no two will ever be the same. Get in touch and let me know your size. This ring is US 6 1/4, UK M and European 13 (53mm finger circumference). The ring is 6mm wide and 5mm thick. The ring comes packaged in a matt white environmentally friendly presentation box, ready to be given and received with love. All my metal is from a company which is a member of the Responsible Jewelry Council. They deal only in recycled silver and gold. They smelt their metals to the highest environmental standards, to cause the least impact on the environment. They do not deal with newly mined metals, as these metals cause much greater destruction to the environment. There is no visible difference between recycled metals and newly-mined metals.
