Sapphire, tanzanite, blue topaz, 14ct gold, recycled silver, delicate ring This unique piece would make a beautiful alternative to the traditional engagement ring. The organically twisting silver band melts into a 14ct gold setting of granulation and cool coloured precious gems. The brilliant blue 3mm sapphire in the centre is supported by a 2mm lilac tanzanite on one side and a 2mm pale blue topaz on the other. Each ring in this style is absolutely one of a kind. My technique involves fusing the gold and silver together, a process in which decisions are made in the moment as the metal melts and blends. This means no two rings will ever be the same. The ring is a German 15.5 (55.5mm finger circumference), a UK J and a US 4 5/8. The band is between 1.2 - 2mm wide and thick. Comes in a matt white presentation box, perfect for giving as a present. All my metal is from a company which is a member of the Responsible Jewelry Council. They deal only in recycled silver and gold. They smelt their metals to the highest environmental standards, to cause the least impact on the environment. They do not deal with newly mined metals, as these metals cause much greater destruction to the environment.
